Breaking News to Breakthrough Moments

My introductory blog post on GeriHearne.com

I’m guessing you can relate to this because we all go through changes. For a long time my work revolved around the buzz of breaking news. There were scripts to write, segments to produce, and a constant stream of deadlines. It taught me how to listen quickly, think clearly, and communicate with impact. But after years of living in fast-forward, I began to feel called in a different direction. Not away from storytelling, but deeper into it. I became curious about stories that unfold more slowly, stories that come from personal truth and lived experience.

What began as a shift in perspective became a realignment of purpose. I moved from producing newscasts to guiding individuals through career transitions, offering intuitive readings, and helping people craft their own messages whether in resumes, books, or business content. I still work with stories every day, but now they come from a deeper place. They belong to the people I’m honored to work with.

Starting this blog is another step forward. It’s a space where I’ll share thoughts on career change, personal growth, energy alignment, and storytelling. You’ll find reflections, encouragement, and maybe a few things that speak directly to the questions you’ve been carrying. I know what it feels like to wonder what’s next—and I’m here to say that uncertainty can be a doorway, not a dead end.

So if you’ve landed here, welcome. I hope you’ll stick around, explore, and maybe find something that supports your journey. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to begin.
